मेरा दोस्त "बबन"... विश्व चिडिया दिवस 20 मार्च को है. यह दिवस दुनिया में गौरैया पक्षी के संरक्षण के प्रति लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए मना रहा है. गौरैया की घटती संख्या को लेकर यह दिवस मनाए जाने लगया और साल 2010 में पहली बार गौरैया दिवस मनाया गया था. एक समय में यह घर के आंगन में चहकती करती दिखाई दे जाती थी, लेकिन अब इसकी आवाज कानों तक नहीं पड़ती है. रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार गौरैया की संख्या में करीब 60 फीसदी तक कमी आ गई है. इस दिवस का उद्देश्य गौरैया का चिड़िया का संरक्षण करना है. कुछ वर्षों पहले आसानी से दिख जाने वाला यह पक्षी अब तेजी से विलुप्त हो रहा है. दिल्ली में तो गौरैया इस कदर दुर्लभ हो गई है कि ढूंढे से भी ये पक्षी नहीं मिलता, इसलिए साल 2012 में दिल्ली सरकार ने इसे राज्य-पक्षी घोषित कर दिया. भारत में करीबन पांच तरह की चिड़िया की प्रजाति पाई जाती है। इनमें  "हाउस स्पैरो (पसेउर डोमेस्टिकस)" जिसे "गोरैया" भी कहते है , सबसे ज्यादा पाई जाती है। चिड़ियारानी बड़ी सयानी "एक थी चिड़ियारानी, उसके दो प्यारे से बच्चे थे.." ये कहा...
