"Impact-ful" Sporty Indians Let me mention - Lalchand Rajput, Umesh Patwal, Apurva Desai, Mrugang Desai, Praveen Hinganikar, Ms. Shailaja Jain, and Mrs. Shailaja Gohad. What do they all have in common? Well, of course, they all are renowned Indian sportpersons. They all excelled in their respective careers. While Ms.Jain is an ex-kabaddi player having represented India, others are national and international cricketers. One common thing in all of them is that they are now well-known professionals in their respective fields. Most importantly, they have proven their mettle by grooming smaller countries or new adopters of the game. This is very crucial for the successful development of any sports. लाथा मारणे... "aai, while I was asleep, she (elder sister) was pushing me with her leg, then I also pushed her with my legs, then she did the same. It went on". रविवार सकाळी, सुट्ट्या असल्या मुळे मुली उशीराच उठल्या. त्यात छोट्या मुलीची ही तक्रार / व्यथा ऐकताना जरा हसू आले. "'ह्याला लाथा मारणे' अस म्हणतात" अस म्हणुन आम्ही दोघांनी तिला शांत केले 🙂 थोडक्यात, मुली लाथा मारायला शिकल्या याचे आनंद झाले. लहानपणी आम्ही खूप लाथा मारायचो किंवा झोपेत चालायचो म्हणुन (उन्हाळ्यात अंगणात झोपायचो तेव्हा कधी कधी) पाय हलक्या रस्सीने बांधुन ठेवल्याचे आठवले  😂. असो.. मात्र, "लाथा मारणे " हा गुण किती महत्त्वाचा आहे हे आता कळते. शाळेत लाथा मारण्याची कला ज्याला जास्त अवगत, तो छान फुटबॉल खेळायचा. आजकाल किकबॉक्सिंग किंवा चेस्टबॉक्सिंग हे नवीन खेळ आले आहेत. "लाथा मारणे " ही कला ह्या खेळांमधे खूप महत्वपूर्ण आहे. पुढे, शिक्षणाचा प्रवास करतांना - बस, कॉम्पिटिशन, सायकल चालवताना "लाथा मारणे " ही कला खूप कामात यायची! थोडे मोठे झाल्यावर, मुंबई सारख्...
